Fees Protest

I went along to the student fees protest in November with three friends from my City course. As a student, the costs involved with studying for an undergraduate degree (and a Masters) are spiralling out of control. We spoke to numerous students, all of whom were frustrated and bewildered and struggling to understand why access to higher education was becoming restricted.

Unlike the embarrassing disturbances that unfolded in 2010, the protest passed off peacefully and we joined the crowd at High Holborn, carrying placards and chanting “Students and Workers Unite and Fight!” Here’s a few snaps from the day…
